Thousands flocked to Mirfield town centre for 'the largest Remembrance Day parade outside Whitehall' on Sunday.

The parade, led by Falklands and Gulf wars veteran David Horrobin, included Dewsbury MP Simon Reevell and Mirfield councillor and former Mayor Martyn Bolt.

Hundreds attended the wreath laying ceremony, which took place at the war memorial in Ings Grove Park before the parade returned to Lowlands Road for dismissal.

This was followed by refreshments at Mirfield Constitutional Club, St Paul’s Road and The Old Colonial, Dunbottle Lane.
