POLICE are making a new appeal for information on the first anniversary of a woman's disappearance.

Lisa Ambler - who had been sleeping rough in a tent near South- owram - went missing last September, after leaving boyfriend Dale Mawson in Halifax town centre.

She has not been found, despite extensive police searches and inquiries.

Det Insp Dick Nuttall of Calderdale police, said: "We are now approaching Lisa's 36th birthday and obviously her family are very anxious to hear any news about where she is."

A specially-trained police family liaison officer remains in contact with Lisa's family, to provide support and make sure they are updated on any developments.

Police are continuing with the investigation into Lisa's disappearance and are following a number of lines of inquiry.

Det Insp Nuttall added: "Nothing has been seen or heard of Lisa since she disappeared.

"It is possible she is alive and well and living out of the area.

"But police are concerned she may have come to harm, given that inquiries to trace her have been unsuccessful and that her family have received no contact."

Police believe someone may hold the key to Lisa's disappearance.

Anyone with information should phone the Calderdale Police Help Desk on 01422 337077.
