A mix of sunshine and showers is on the cards for Huddersfield.

The sunshine of today is likely to give way to some very heavy showers and some thunder tonight.

But after early rain tomorrow, it’s likely Huddersfield will get another fine, sunny and warm day.

Huddersfield weatherman Paul Stevens is also forecasting a week of both sunshine and showers next week, with temperatures not as high as the past few days. But he hinted there could be another warm spell in mid July.

He said: “We have seen temperatures rise to 27° today with lots of sunshine but there could be another storm tonight with heavy rain.

“That will ease off to showers by Saturday and we should then see sunny spells and a fine end to the day.

“Sunday will be again a mix of sunshine and showers, with a fresher feel with temperatures around 19°C. Next week looks more changeable with some rain and sunny spells, but towards the middle of July there are signs of another warm possibly hot spell”.
