Police have urged witnesses to come forward after a woman who is seven months pregnant was left in her burning car by thieves who had crashed a vehicle into it in Huddersfield.
The video, sent to us by Ana Imani, above shows the dramatic aftermath of the incident in Dalton Fold Road with firefighters battling to bring the blaze under control.
The pregnant woman was already free of the cars when the video was taken.
The 27-year-old woman was in her Vauxhall Corsa when thieves smashed a stolen Peugeot into her vehicle on Thursday night.
The collision left the Peugeot with a ruptured fuel tank, and both vehicles caught fire, with the woman still inside the Corsa.
She managed to scramble to safety having suffered minor injuries.
The thieves fled when the fire broke out, breaking into a parked car and driving off.
Commander Stephen Bates, of Huddersfield fire service, said: "It was a terrible incident for the woman concerned.
"It is lucky that the damage to the Corsa was on the passenger side, meaning the woman was able to get out the driver's side door.
"Had there been any damage to the door on her side she would have really struggled."
