Kids went bananas on a fun bus to raise money for a children’s charity.

Dozens of children showed up to monkey around on the Monkey Madness Fun Bus which pulled up into Huddersfield town centre at the weekend as part of a fundraising bid for Linthwaite-based Ruddi’s Retreat.

They clambered through the bus’s two storey trail and ball pool areas for hours and hours, in Macaulay Street.

Face-painting helped to brighten up a day of heavy rain.

Owners Jadie Hewitt and Barbra Davidson raised money for the charity which provides caravan holidays by the sea for children with life-limiting illnesses and their families.

Barbra said: “The weather was pretty awful so it was a bit quiet but we did really well considering.

“Those who came loved it and had a lot of fun and we’re glad that we did it because it was for a good cause.

“It’s only a small charity so every little bit of money helps.”
