It's set to be a driver’s dream.

More than 100 classic vehicles are to go on show in Holmfirth this weekend, in a bid to help raise cash for the Yorkshire Air Ambulance.

And it will be a trip down Memory Lane for many as some of the vehicles date back to the 1920s.

The oldest is likely to be a steam-powered lorry from 1920.

Another big hit is likely to be a 1920s Fraser Nash car - thought to be valued at at least £1m.

And there will also be a range of modern supercars on show to delight all.

The Brooklands Revisited 2015 show is to take place at Brooklands Garden Centre at Scholes on Sunday, August 30, from 10am onwards and organisers hope to raise hundreds of pounds for the Air Ambulance.

Nick Ryder, one of the organisers, said: “This goes back 20 years to 1995 when we organised a small gathering of car enthusiasts at Brooklands.

“We had a few cars in the corner of the field and there was so much interest that we repeated it for the next three years.

“Now we have had people coming up and asking when we were going to bring back the shows so we decided to do that.

“Carl Brook, at the nurseries, is fully behind the idea and we are planning a host of events for all the family on Sunday. There will be food, a bar, live music well into the evening and of course the cars.

“We already have more than 80 confirmed and expect others on the day. There will be a lot of vintage and classic cars as well as supercars, stock cars and military vehicles.

“We hope people will support us and support the Air Ambulance”.

Admission is £5 for adults but it is free for children.
