MORE armed gang members could have been lying in wait outside a travel agency when Pc Sharon Beshenivsky was shot dead, it emerged today.
Police originally said they were hunting three men following the armed robbery in Bradford, but it is now believed more were involved.
The details emerged as police continued to question four men about the killing.
It is understood that other criminals may have been sitting in vehicles outside the Universal Express shop in Bradford when Pc Beshenivsky, 38, and her colleague, Teresa Milburn, of Birstall, were gunned down last November.
The four men were arrested yesterday. Police swooped on addresses in London and Leicester.
A man held in Leicester is thought to have connections to Leeds and a man arrested in London is believed to have ties with Halifax.
All four are at West Yorkshire police stations.
Police are still trying to trace Mustaf Jama, 25, named as a prime suspect.
