TWO major roadworks schemes will take place next week in Huddersfield.
Kirklees Highways is taking the opportunity to do the work during the quieter school half-term period.
From October 23, Rowley Lane in Lepton will be closed for nine days.
The closure is to allow for re-surfacing and pavement work to be carried out from the A629 Penistone Road to Hermitage Park.
The scheme is a £100,000 programme to improve the footpath and increase the useful life of the carriageway. A diversion will be signed via Station Road and Highgate Lane.
And Kirkheaton will also be the focus of an £80,000 similar scheme.
New Road, Kirkheaton, will also be closed from nine days from October 21 for resurfacing and footpath work between Upper Heaton Lane and Easingwood Drive. A diversion will be signed via Upper Heaton Lane, Moor Top Road and Heaton Moor Road.
