WEST Yorkshire Trading Standards' Motor Trade Partnership has reached the 100-member mark.

Firms are closely monitored to ensure that the highest standards are maintained, in particular the way in which customer complaints are dealt with.

A business which achieves a full year complaint free is therefore committed to ensuring that customer service is paramount to its success.

West Yorkshire Trading Standards Service recognised the efforts of both Quarmby Garage, Quarmby Road, Huddersfield, and Wharfedale Select Cars, Bradford Road, Cleckheaton, by presenting them with achievement plaques.

The plaques are presented to firms which have had no complaints about the standard of service they provide.

Clr Tony Brice, a member of the Trading Standards Committee, said: "It is a pleasure to be able to give such an award, it shows the positive commitment to consumer care from the members.

"It is a very difficult task for a business to be able to satisfy all of its customers and therefore it was felt that the achievement should not go unrecognised."
