A PAIR of robbers failed in a car-jacking in Huddersfield.

Police are  now appealing for witnesses to the robbery on Main Avenue in Cowlersley yesterday between 6.15 and 6.45pm.

The male victim was driving when he was flagged down by two men who he thought were wanting directions.

He stopped, wound down his window and was hit on the head.

One of the suspects then told him 'Give me the car' and tried to pull him out of the vehicle. There was a scuffle and the robbers ran away with the victim's house and car keys as well as his mobile phone.

The first suspect is described as male, mixed race, around 21 years old, 6ft tall of a slim build.

The second suspect is a white male, around 21 years old, 6ft tall and of a slim build.
