A DRIVER was thumped in the face by another driver.
The 45-year-old victim and his wife were at Slant Gate, Linthwaite, at 7.35am yesterday, driving to work, when they realised a black VW Golf was following them.
The Golf motorist started to flash his lights and the victim pulled over, thinking there must be something wrong with his car.
He wound his window down to talk to the other motorist who had walked towards him.
But the attacker thumped him in the face, walked back to his car and drove off. The victim suffered a black eye and headache.
The attacker is white, in his late 30s or early 40s, 6ft, stocky with dark blond close-cropped hair. He wore a stud in his left ear and a wedding ring.
