Drivers face more hold-ups on the busy M62.

Highways England have confirmed a series of repairs schemes will be taking place over the next few days and urged drivers to be aware.

Some schemes will see lanes closed overnight.

Both carriageways between junction 24 Ainley Top and junction 25 Brighouse will be reduced to a single lane overnight for bridge works.

The eastbound lanes will be shut on Tuesday and the westbound lanes on Wednesday.

Resurfacing work will hit the stretch between junction 22 at Rishworth and junction 23 Outlane.

The eastbound carriageway will be reduced to a single lane overnight for three nights from Tuesday and the eastbound exit slip road at junction 23 will also be closed overnight for two nights from Wednesday for resurfacing works. The westbound carriageway will be reduced to a single lane overnight for two nights from Monday. The closures will take place between 8pm and 6am.

The westbound entry slip road at junction 24 Ainley Top will be closed overnight for five nights for drainage works from Monday.

An Agency spokesman said: “All our improvement work is carried out with the aim of causing as little disruption as possible.”
