CROSLAND Moor Community Learning Centre held its annual multi-cultural open day at the weekend.

The event was held on Saturday afternoon at the Moorfield Shopping Centre and activities included digital photography, sewing and cake decorating, henna artists as well as English and Asian food and drink.

The Community Centre provides accredited Numeracy and Literacy skills, National Testing and English for speakers of other languages.

Organiser Mags Rhodes said: “Due to our successful open day last year we decided to hold another one.

“We have been supported by our MP and local businesses, along with Kirklees Post 16 & Adult Learning, UK Online and the Indian Muslim Welfare Society who have provided valuable support in funding.

“This support helps provide a quality learning environment to learners of all ages and all parts of the community.”
