A MUM and two children had a miraculous escape after their car crashed and rolled over on the M62.

The Renault Megane is thought to have clipped another vehicle which caused it to flip over on the westbound carriageway of the motorway near to Stott Hall Farm at 7.30pm on Sunday.

A West Yorkshire Fire Service spokesman said: “When we arrived the car had rolled two or three times and was in a very poor condition. Every airbag seemed to have gone off inside.

“Three people were already out of the car and in the back of an ambulance. The car had been moved from the outside lane so we just made it safe by removing the battery.’’

A West Yorkshire Police spokesman added: “The woman and both children were taken to Huddersfield Royal Infirmary with minor injuries.

“They were soon allowed to leave and go home.’’
