A MUM who died after apparently falling from a balcony at her home has left twin boys along with an older daughter.

Mother-of-two Alison Traynor, 49, was discovered in a garden below her home on Huddersfield Road, Holmfirth, at 8.45am on Tuesday.

Her death is not being treated as suspicious.

She is believed to have fallen sometime on Monday night and the grim discovery was made by a neighbour the following morning.

Mrs Traynor was divorced and her former husband, Patrick, has been working on oil rigs in the Arctic.

He has flown back to Huddersfield to be with their three children, twin 11-year-old sons Chris and James, and 15-year-old daughter, Charlotte.

They were staying with their 80-year-old grandmother Margaret Armitage in Armitage Bridge on the night Mrs Traynor died.

The devastating news was broken to the family on Tuesday afternoon.

Chris and James attend Holmfirth Junior, Infants and Nursery School while Charlotte attends Holmfirth High School.
