POLICE probing a murder raided several homes in Huddersfield.

Officers investigating the killing of Michael Hanley, 23, outside a Ravensthorpe nightclub just after Christmas were looking for a suspect.

Five houses were raided in Sheepridge, Primrose Hill and Bradley and on Chapel Hill, near the town centre, early today.

Mr Hanley died when he was shot in the stomach outside Sheridan's Bar on December 27.

A police spokesman said: "We carried out the searches to try and locate a man we want to speak to in connection with Michael's death.

"That man knows who he is and we would encourage him to come forward as we will continue looking for him until we find him."

* Three men have already appeared in court over the case.

Darren Foley, 18, of Dalton, is charged with murder and Shane Thomas, 23, of Long- royd Bridge, is accused of witness intimidation.

Igor Simic, 20, of Holme Park Court, Berry Brow, is accused of perverting the course of justice.
