POLICE are questioning a youth of 17 after a 21-year-old man was killed.
The victim, who lived in the Batley area, was found just after midnight on Laurel Grove, in the Brookroyd part of the town.
Police said he had been assaulted and they were treating it as a murder inquiry.
The man died at Dewsbury District Hospital shortly after being taken there.
Forensic work at the scene is being carried out and a post-mortem will be carried out.
