CHRISTMAS shopping has got too much for some car owners.
For they have returned to their vehicles, found they have disappeared and rushed to report them as stolen to the police.
Investigations have then revealed that the owners had simply forgotten where they had left their cars.
Sgt Tim O'Sullivan, of Huddersfield police, said: "We have taken 10 reports like this since the start of December.
"In eight of the cases the car owners had gone back to the wrong levels at multi-storey car parks in Huddersfield. In the other two they had gone to the wrong streets."
He added: "I know Christmas shopping can be stressful, but please try to remember where you have left your car."
