Talented designers in Huddersfield are being urged to demonstrate their creative talents by designing the official campaign T-shirt for National Apprenticeship Week 2014.

The T-shirt will help to promote the Week, which will take place from March 3 – 7.

Now in its seventh year, National Apprenticeship Week aims to raise the profile of apprenticeships among employers, individuals, teachers, parents and the media.

The T-shirt featuring the winning design will be available for National Apprenticeship Week supporters to order in the run-up to the Week.

It is expected to be launched next month during The Skills Show at the NEC in Birmingham.

Entrants to the competition are expected to reflect the theme of “Made by Apprentices” – designed to showcase how apprenticeships can deliver great things for employers and individuals.

Sue Price, divisional area director for the National Apprenticeship Service in the North, said: “We want all apprentices in Huddersfield to join in the National Apprenticeship Week celebrations – and wearing a T-shirt designed by budding young designers is a simple and very visible way for everyone to get involved.”

The competition is aimed at current and former apprentices and those that aspire to be an apprentice. Further education students aged 16 and over can also enter.

Email your designs to theweek@apprenticeships.gov.uk by 4pm on October 20.
