A CANCER sufferer is taking part in a Himalayan trek to raise money for young people hit by the disease.
Joseph Innes, 30, of Croft House Lane, Marsh, will be joining other hikers on the trek in the Everest region in March next year in aid of the Laura Crane Trust.
The Huddersfield-based charity supports research and help for young cancer patients.
"I was diagnosed with testicular cancer 18 months ago," said Joseph. "I moved to Huddersfield from Liverpool to be nearer my friends and family."
He will have to walk up to six hours a day for five days and will spend 10 days in Nepal.
Joseph said: "I need to raise £2,000 before I go on the trip and am appealing for sponsorship."
