A WOMAN driver accused of injuring a cyclist has been given a new trial date.

Adele Wilson, of Garforth Street in Netherton, denies driving without due care and attention.

The alleged offence took place at Meltham Road on October 11.

The cyclist was said to have suffered injuries after being hit by the 39-year-old’s Land Rover Discovery.

Wilson was due to stand trial at Kirklees Magistrates’ Court on September 28.

The Huddersfield court was told that her trial will have to be held on a different date.

This was because the allocated court will be acting as a youth court on that day.

Wilson’s trial was fixed for October 15. She was granted bail.
