TRAIN enthusiasts are sure to go loco over the newest addition to the miniature railway at Greenhead Park in Huddersfield.
Apprentices at Holset Turbochargers have spent the past two years making the engine, which was handed over to the people of Huddersfield during a ceremony attended by the Mayor of Kirklees, Clr Barbara Allonby.
The steam locomotive, named the Golden Jubilee, was built to mark both the 50th anniversary of the Queen's reign as well as the founding of Holset in 1952.
Youngsters from the company worked alongside Kirklees Council and the Huddersfield Society of Model Engineers to complete the project.
The 7¼-inch gauge Thomas 11 locomotive joins other miniature engines at the popular line which snakes round the north end of the scenic park.
