A PEAK District local has written a new guide to the National Park.
Lindsey Porter, who has penned the latest edition of the Landmark Visitors Guide to the Peak District, said: “From Huddersfield to the heart of the Peak District is only 40 miles or about an hour and a quarter by car.”
In the guide, Lindsey tells the story of the Peak District and sections of the book focus on the small towns and villages.
This includes sites near to Huddersfield including Glossop, Edale and Hayfield.
Lindsey said: “The area has developed over the years and now offers an exciting variety of activities for visitors of all ages and fitness.”
The guide is available at book stores priced £9.99.
