THE revamped Batley Baths and Recreation Centre is back in action.
And a new operations manager is taking up the reins.
The Victorian building has been closed since November for a £300,000 refurbishment.
Some of the work has been behind the scenes, to improve the building's infrastructure.
Work included refurbishing the changing rooms, remodelling the reception area and offices and replacing the ventilation system.
The sports hall, swimming pool hall and fitness suites have also been redecorated.
Also, drainage in the sauna area has been improved.
This week the pool, sauna and sports hall became available for public use again, but the fitness suite are to have final redecoration.
That will re-open by Monday.
Jonathan Debenham is the new manager at Batley Baths, after being duty manager at Dewsbury Sports Centre for five years.
He was instrumental in getting the Dewsbury centre reopened last October after a six-month closure and refurbishment of the wetside, reception and cafe.
Jonathan, 29, said: "This is a new job in a new centre, so it's a great challenge.
"I like the fact it is a fresh start for both myself and Batley Baths."
