More people have appeared in court following a huge police operation into drug dealing in Kirklees.

Operation Overwood was conducted by West Yorkshire Police over several months in the area.

The operation focused on drug dealing in the area and a number of individuals are said to have supplied class A drugs to undercover police officers.

Others have already appeared at the Huddersfield court on various charges and been bailed to appear at Leeds Crown Court.

Those appearing before magistrates on Friday (June 6) were:

Marcus Thomas, 31, of Swan Lane in Lockwood.

He faces five charges from January of supplying heroin and crack cocaine.

There is a further allegation on possessing cannabis in June.

Alexandra Hotchkiss, 49, of Huntington Avenue in Bradley, is accused of supplying crack cocaine.

She faces a further two charges of permitting the supply of class A drugs to take place at her premises on Leeds Road on November 29.

Derron Paul, 42, of Sheepridge Road, has 15 charges against him of supplying crack cocaine.

Boris Brown, 35, of Bishop’s Court in Berry Brow, faces 13 allegations of supplying crack cocaine and heroin between November and December last year.

Duet Guy , 33, of Clement Street in Birkby, has 13 charges of supplying a class A drug and one of supplying cannabis betweeen November and January.

Dwight Porter, 34, of Glenfield Avenue in Bradley, faces a single allegation of supplying crack cocaine on November 29.

Clive Salmon, 43, of Bunny Park in Lockwood, is charged with supplying crack cocaine at Carlton Street in Fartown on February 3.

Darion Dawson, 22, of Upper Barker Street in Liversedge, has four charges of supplying cannabis.

All gave no indication of plea and will make their first appearance at Leeds Crown Court on June 19.

Another man, 22-year-old Rakeem Charles, pleaded guilty to seven charges of supplying heroin and crack cocaine.

These offences took place between January and February.

Charles, of Blacker Road in Birkby, supplied drugs to undercover police on a number of occasions.

He was committed to the crown court for his sentencing and will also appear there on June 19.
