A MAJORITY of people in Yorkshire shy away from going back to education.

A survey revealed 69% of people from Yorkshire are unwilling to enrol on a hobby-related leisure learning course.

This is despite the fact nearly as many - some 67% - see recreational courses as the key to a better quality of life.

The survey by www. waytolearn.co.uk also found 74% of people from Yorkshire felt leisure learning could improve their job prospects, whilst the same percentage believed it would boost their social life.

The key reason for many people from the region being unwilling to enrol in a recreational course is a perceived lack of spare time - some 43% of those questioned blamed a shortage of free time.
