A 14-year-old boy has been hurt in a hit and run outside a school.

The youngster was struck by a quad bike outside North Huddersfield Trust School on Woodhouse Hill in Fartown at 3.10pm yesterday. (Thurs)

The rider then drove off without stopping.

The pupil suffered a broken foot and mild concussion. He was allowed home after hospital treatment.

The quad is red and white and the man riding it wore a top that was dark blue at the top and light blue at the bottom.

Police have appealed for witnesses and anyone with information should contact the Eastern Area Safer Roads and Neighbourhood Support Team on 101.
