Joseph Morris was an award-winning Examiner van driver who had also worked at one of Huddersfield’s most renowned engineering firms for many years.
Joseph, of Crosland Moor, was an Examiner van driver for 15 years and during that time scooped a four-day holiday to Prague as part of his prize for being named Driver of the Year.
During his working life he was also an engineer at David Brown’s, Lockwood, for 36 years.
Mr Morris, 73, a Manchester United fan, was born and brought up in Dublin and he came over to England with his late wife Katina after they were married. He has lived in the Huddersfield area for more than 40 years.
He remarried and leaves a widow Susan, daughter Sandrina and son Darron, nine grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
His funeral is at St Patrick’s Church, Huddersfield, on July 26, followed by interment at Lockwood Cemetery.
