TECHNICAL difficulties with a safe were to blame for the late opening of Northumberland Street Post Office in Huddersfield yesterday morning.
At 9am, would-be customers were met with a hastily hand-written note on the locked door stating: `Due to unforeseen circumstances this office will be closed until further notice'.
The premises opened 25 minutes late.
