A STUDENT robbed of her laptop containing a year’s worth of college work fears it will affect her chances of going to university.

Olivia Armitage’s Milnsbridge home was burgled on Monday afternoon and more than £2,000 worth of items were taken.

But she is most upset about the theft of her laptop and memory stick which contained her college work which needs to be submitted at the end of April.

She now faces having to do the work again and has appealed directly to the thief for its return.

Olivia says it will hit her hopes of getting into university and ultimately becoming a youth offender probation worker.

Olivia also had a camera stolen with pictures of her daughter Laci’s second birthday at the weekend.

Olivia, a health and social care student at Kirklees College, said: “I’d been on a work placement at a nursing home and got home and noticed my house has been trashed – they’d even emptied the bins everywhere.”
