THE Prince of Wales and the Duchess of Cornwall were likely to have been "the only royals in the village" today when they visited a place made famous by hit comedy Little Britain.

Charles and Camilla were visiting a cheese-making farm in Llanddewi Brefi, home of the fictional character Daffyd.

The flamboyant homosexual, played by comedy actor Matt Lucas, is known for his boast of being "the only gay in the village".

The visit to Llanddewi Brefi in Ceredigion was the royal couple's final stop on the second day of a three-day tour of Wales.

The couple started the day in Tywyn, Gwynedd - where they are seen on the platform after officially opening a new station on the Taly- llyn Railway tourist attraction.

Charles arrived at Tywyn Wharf Station on the footplate of steam engine No 7 Tom Rolt.
