YOUNGSTERS have the chance to check out a boxing gym first hand when the Rawthorpe amateur club throw open the doors of their Gas Club headquarters tomorrow and Thursday.
The sessions at the Hillhouse venue (on Gasworks Street, between Leeds Road and St Andrew's Road) run from 12.00 to 2.00 each afternoon, and entry is free.
"Youngsters of both sexes can simply look around or get more involved and have a work-out," explained coach Mark Reynolds.
"It's all non-contact so there are no worries about getting a black eye. It's all about having a bit of exercise and getting fit.
"We hear a lot about lack of fitness among our young people, so this is a great chance to do something about it."
