FOUR days are left for the public to vote for jobs criminals should do in the community.

The campaign, launched by Justice Secretary Jack Straw and Home Secretary Jacqui Smith, lets people pick projects enabling offenders to pay back their crimes. Sue Hall, chief probation officer for West Yorkshire Probation Service, said: “I feel it is important the public see how offenders pay back their communities for crimes committed.” More than 330,651 hours of unpaid work were carried out by offenders in the county last year.
