GOLCAR lorry driver Jim Blues enjoyed the high life after winning an episode of the National Lottery Jet Set.

Jim, 41, returned to his home yesterday after winning a week's all-expenses paid luxury holiday for two, to Zambia in Africa.

"It was absolutely fantastic," he said.

"I have never stayed anywhere quite so special and exclusive."

Jim won the holiday on the TV show and travelled to Africa with his wife Helena, 43.

The couple stayed at the Royal Livingstone Hotel, Livingstone, Zambia.

They were booked in at the Presidential Suite, where the likes of Catherine Zeta Jones and her husband Michael Douglas have stayed.

The holiday included a free helicopter ride, jet-boat trip up the Zambezi river and a five-course meal by the spectacular Victoria Falls, with butler service.

Jim added: "We had the biggest suite in the hotel.

We were only 50 yards away from the Zambezi, with monkeys going past, hippos in the river and views of the Victoria Falls on the left-hand side."

He said it was about 30ºC until about 3pm each day when a storm broke out.

"We spent absolutely nothing, the food, the drink, the trips, everything was free."

Sadly, the holiday did not include children and the couple's son Stuart, 14, stayed with relatives in Slaithwaite.

But today it was back to work for Jim and Helena.

After getting back to Huddersfield at lunchtime yesterday it was a 4am start today - Jim had to deliver a tanker of chemicals from Leeds to Cheshire by 8.30am.

Helena meanwhile was back at ECC Card Clothing, Lindley, at 8.30am today where she is a sales administrator.
