GREEN bins due for collection on Tuesday will now have to wait for another month to be emptied.
The bins were not emptied due to the strike action by council workers.
Birchencliffe resident John Crapper said: "It's pathetic. If they can't empty the bins then I don't think they can do anything.
"I'm self-employed and if I'd done no work today that means I'd have two days of work to do tomorrow.
"But they don't think that way. They won't pay overtime to get rid of the backlog."
A Kirklees Council spokesman said: "We will not be catching up on either grey or green bin collections that were missed due to industrial action.
"All bins that were scheduled for emptying on Tuesday will not be collected until their next scheduled collection whether it be next week or next month.
"The advice we can give to householders is to try and pack more into their green bin or save material until the bin is next emptied and then try to pack it in.
"Alternatively they can take recyclable materials to their nearest recycling centre or, as a last resort, put them in their grey bin for the next month."
