CELEBRATIONS for Pakistan's Independence Day were held at Huddersfield Town Hall.
Members of the town's Pakistani community gathered for an evening of entertainment.
Children gave presentations about the different cultures of the world and also took part in prayers and singing.
There was also a mini-drama production.
Pakistan's Independence Day was actually on August 14.
At midnight on that day in 1947, Pakistan split from the British Empire.
India also split from the British Empire at the same time, but Indians celebrate their independence on August 15.
The Huddersfield celebrations were organised by Pakistani community group Yorkshire Tarannum Art.
