A MAN was attacked and badly hurt when problems with parked cars erupted in violence.

The 35-year-old victim returned to his home on Water Street, Hinchliffe Mill.

But two cars were in the parking spaces allocated to him, so he parked his vehicle across them, blocking them in.

A few minutes later there was a knock at the door.

He looked out and saw three men acting suspiciously near his car.

He went out, shouted at them and then moved his car.

But as he was walking back to his house he was suddenly attacked.

He was badly beaten and suffered broken facial bones, including an eye socket.
