RAIL passengers face more delays on their commute across the Pennines.

Services were disrupted from 6.40am today after signalling problems at Greenfield caused by a landslip.

Network Rail have suspended the Northern Rail stopping service across the Calder Valley to reduce capacity on the line and services are currently being replaced by buses.

First Transpennine trains are still running between Manchester and Huddersfield but at a reduced rate.

Delays of around 40 minutes are expected to continue until at least 6pm tonight.

Network Rail are advising customers to check the details of their journey before starting it via www.nationalrail.co.uk  or 08457 48 49 50.
