HANDS-ON training in the skills needed to re-open footpaths is being offered by Kirklees Council.
Places are available for people to spend the day learning the practical way.
Those who sign up will help to build stiles, clear vegetation, lay a temporary surface and put up waymark posts.
The event will take place on Saturday May 8 in Cleckheaton.
There are 16 places on offer for people to work with four rights-of-way officers.
The group will meet at 9.45am and spend the day carrying out tasks and discussing rights of way issues.
The event will finish at 3.30pm.
