EMMERDALE actor Patrick Mower handed over a new minibus to a school.
Patrick, who plays Rodney Blackstock in the TV soap, left the Dales to visit Nortonthorpe Hall School at Scissett, which caters for children with special needs.
He presented the 15-seater minibus with Neil Wagstaff, company director of Cleckheaton- based firm Transmark, which makes valves for the petroleum and chemical industry.
The company has presented the minibus via its charity work for the Variety Club of Great Britain.
A school spokeswoman said the minibus would be used for educational visits and sporting and evening activities by pupils.
She said the presentation was the latest one made to the school following a long-standing relationship with the Variety Club.
Patrick, an actor for more than 40 years, laughed and joked with the youngsters.
They know him as super-rich Rodney from the TV soap.
But he has a list of credits which includes many British television classics, such as The Avengers, Minder, Callan and Space 1999.
