A COMPANY boss in Huddersfield is taking part in a charity walk to raise funds for charity.

Glenn Paxman, founder and chairman of Fenay bridge-based Paxman Coolers, has been joined by his wife Antoinette for today’s 5k Celebrity Sunwalk in aid of breast cancer charity Walk the Walk. Glenn set up Paxman Coolers in the 1990s to develop a scalp cooling device which could help prevent hair loss in cancer patients undergoing chemotherapy.

Walk the Walk is a grant-making charity, which means that everyone taking part in the Sunwalk – which takes place in Southampton – is raising money for various breast cancer-related projects and campaigns.

Walk the Walk has pledged to donate £5m to provide Paxman coolers in hospitals. So far, it has granted funds for 134 coolers in 38 hospitals from the Isle of Skye to Taunton in Somerset.
