AS the exam season looms, Huddersfield students are being invited to ‘get swotting’ at their local libraries – in peace.

Kirklees Library and Information Centres are welcoming people to use their quiet facilities for revision.

They are also offering students the opportunity to use the new study guides for SATs and GCSEs and also for their A-level examinations.

A spokesman said: “Your local library and information centre can always provide a quiet place to carry out revision and vital research.

“For those needing, perhaps, to escape from their younger brothers and sisters or the temptations of television, libraries provide the ideal study environment.

“There is also free internet access available and this provides another invaluable resource for revision purposes at this crucial time.”
