Three mosaics were unveiled at Stocksmoor Railway Station at the weekend to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the Penistone Line Partnership.
The partnership is a voluntary organisation which supports and promotes community involvement along the Huddersfield to Sheffield railway line.
Around 20 to 25 members were there including Prof Paul Salveson, a Kirklees councillor and railway enthusiast, who made a short speech.
He explained how successful the partnership had been in raising the profile of the line and in inspiring a whole national movement with more than 50 such partnerships.
Artist Zoe Stainton who created the mosaics attended the unveiling with members of her family and partnership chairman Neil Bentley.
