The murderer of Huddersfield backpacker Peter Falconio is to appeal his conviction.

Bradley Murdoch has filed an application for leave to appeal it as he is accusing the crown prosecutor at the original trial of misconduct.

Murdoch was convicted and sentenced to life in prison with a minimum period of 28 years in 2005 for the murder in Australia's Outback

It's believed Peter Falconio, from Hepworth, was murdered in 2001, but his body has never been found.
