A TEAM of local physiotherapists have raised £500 for the Laura Crane Youth Cancer Trust.

They raised the money by running the Leeds Abbey Dash, a 10k race organised by Age UK.

Five members of staff from Griffiths & Hartley, which is part of the Physio Med network and has clinics across Yorkshire, ran the 10k race on Sunday.

Team Griffiths & Hartley raised money for the Laura Crane Youth Cancer Trust, the only UK charity which specifically funds medical research into cancer affecting teenagers and young adults.

Helen Mervill, fundraising manager at the trust, said: “We are hugely grateful to Team Griffiths & Hartley.

“The Laura Crane Youth Cancer Trust supports all young people with cancer in the area through Leeds General Infirmary and St James’s Hospital. It is with the generous support of people that the charity is able to continue its fight against cancer in young people.”
