Post staff in Huddersfield are working on Sundays to help people prepare for Christmas.

The Huddersfield Delivery Office in Byram Street is to open to help with the Christmas rush.

It will help people pick up Christmas mail and parcels that could not be delivered.

The office will open between 12pm and 4pm on December 21 having also been open today.

Rob Jenson, Operations Director, said: “We are continuing to be more customer responsive and provide more options for people to receive items they have ordered online, especially at our busiest time of the year. We hope it provides a helping hand for customers during the very busy festive season.”

The Post Office are also offering another drop-off point in Huddersfield for home shopping returns.

It comes as new research predicts shoppers will return £813m in online purchases before Christmas.

The drop-off point for Home Shopping customers in Huddersfield returning orders using Royal Mail’s pre-paid returns services is at One Stop, Fernside Avenue, Almondbury.
