THIS stunning panoramic photograph captures a Holme Valley reservoir in all its glory.

It was taken by 21-year-old Nadine Staniforth – granddaughter of former Examiner photographer Bob Staniforth.

Nadine, of Honley, is now studying for a Higher National Diploma in Photography from Bradford College.

She said: “This photograph was taken with a point and shoot Canon, but I also have a Nikon camera.’’

The reservoir near Holmbridge has undergone major work in recent years including a new £2.7m overflow spillway which was finished last November.

The work was part of a £10m investment by Yorkshire Water in Holme Valley’s dams. The reservoir features picnic areas and access paths. They had been closed since work started in March, 2008, but have now reopened.
