WANTED - people to identify and map plants.
The plea follows work by volunteers who have been improving the Merrydale area of Slaithwaite as part of a lottery- funded project.
In the last six months they have carried out work on tree planting, fencing, drainage and footpaths.
On Saturday, June 5, the first of a number of ecology and social history sessions will take place as part of the project.
Jackie North, from West Yorkshire Ecology, will be running an ecology workshop.
Its main aim is to identify and map plants in the area.
The workshop is open to anyone who is interested, but numbers will be limited to 15 and booking is essential.
