GARDENERS will be out in force next weekend, when a plant sale is held again in Huddersfield town centre.

The event - now in its fourth year - will run on New Street between 9am and 4pm on Saturday.

Organisers say it will be the biggest yet.

There will be more than 20 stalls at the event, organised by Huddersfield Town Centre Association and the National Trust.

They will sell a large range of hardy plants, annuals and more unusual varieties from specialist nurseries.

David Wyles, of the association, said the sale was expected to be popular.

"My advice is to arrive early," he added.

Mr Wyles said there would be a large choice, with stallholders being able to offer expert advice.

"With more nurseries attending and a greater variety of plants, this is a unique chance for gardeners to enjoy a choice rarely available," he said.
