HONLEY Players are staging a new show full of murder and mayhem.

The theatre group opened its latest show, Inspector Drake And The Perfekt Crime, at Southgate Theatre in Honley on Wednesday .

The comic play, written by David Tristram, tells of a police inspector and his sergeant trying to decide whether the mysterious Dr Short has murdered his fourth wife.

The play is directed by Kelvyn Waites, who has just joined the society after leaving Emley Drama Group.
